TLM was selected by the Tennessee Board of Regents to complete the planning and design for the new nursing classroom building at Jackson State Community College. The facility includes six simulation lab hospital rooms which allow the students to learn how to react in real life emergencies. The building also has lecture halls, skills labs, student lounges, small group rooms, computer labs and a large conference room to be utilized by the entire campus.
The nursing classroom building was carefully designed to be the new face of Jackson State as the campus looks to create a fresh, new appearance. Expansive views with ample daylighting were key components of the design of the building. Floor to ceiling curtain walls allow for the outdoors to flow directly into the lobby, which serves as the main study area for students.
