TLM Associates, Inc. was retained to provide preliminary engineering, pre-design and budgeting for grant application, design, construction administration, construction observation, and close-out for this project.

The Martin Greenway was first envisioned by Brian Brown, the late director of University of Tennessee at Martin’s Campus Recreation Program, who saw the need for a multi-purpose trail in and around the City of Martin and the UTM campus. The Brian Brown Memorial Greenway project included the construction of approximately 1.25 miles of 8-foot-wide greenway through UT Martin agricultural property, connecting the campus to the downtown Martin area. The greenway features a 92-foot pedestrian bridge over Cane Creek. Additionally, landscaping, planted trees, and benches placed along the trail add to the beauty of the greenway. TLM assisted with the acquisition of a grant through Tennessee Department of Transportation Enhancement Program.
