TLM Associates, Inc assisted the City of Martin, TN in 2010 with a Local Parks and Recreation Fund grant application to enhance the existing downtown park with a new splash pad feature. The project was funded and constructed in 2012 with TLM Associates, Inc. providing services for the grant application, master planning for future park features, design, bidding, construction administration, and inspection. Landscape Architecture design was by Ritchie Smith Associates.
The new features at the downtown park included a 35-ft diameter splash pad with 10 variable frequency drive jets operating up to 6-ft in height, multi-colored LED lighting, a concrete sidewalk perimeter and benches. All aspects of the feature were designed to be ADA compliant and complement existing and future park elements.
Since opening the park feature in 2012, it has provided a new summer opportunity for thousands of children and parents, increasing the quality of life of residents and enhancing what downtown Martin offers to the community.
