The plaza surrounding the oracle includes a grand water fountain and a seated wall. The oracle pays homage to Dr. Paul Blaylock, a distinguished 1968 graduate of UT Martin renowned for his four-decade tenure as a trauma physician and trial attorney in Portland, Oregon. It is located near the center of UT Martin’s campus, East of the Boling University Center.
