The Medina Community Park project consisted of planning, design, and construction management services for a new community park complex in Medina, TN. The City of Medina requested a four-field baseball complex with a 1/2-mile lighted walking trail and two soccer fields on approximately 30 acres.

Environmental design was a crucial factor in designing this project since there are two high quality streams and a wetlands area on-site. TLM took charge of environmental EPSC design, navigating the permitting process for the City of Medina, which involved two ARAP applications and wetland delineation by the Army Corps of Engineers.

Additionally, TLM provided construction administration, conducted erosion control inspections, and offered guidance to the contractor on maintaining EPSC BMPs to ensure compliance with permits.

Medina Splash Pad

TLM assisted the City of Medina with a Local Parks and Recreation Fund grant application for Medina Community Park and Lions Park for a new splash pad feature for the community. TLM provided all engineering services for plans and specifications for the project. These services included preliminary design documents, contract documents, detailed drawings and plans, bidding, construction administration, and inspection.

The splash pad features colorful water sprayers, with blocks of colored concrete to coordinate. Black vinyl-coated fencing surrounds the area with shade sails above tables with seating. New parking was also added with ADA-compliant parking spaces, along with paving, grass, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveways.
