K-12 schools must support a wide range of academic, athletic, and extracurricular activities while providing safe and engaging environments for students and educators. TLM partners with school districts to design facilities that support learning, collaboration, and community involvement while adapting to evolving educational needs.
Our work includes new school construction, campus expansions, athletic facilities, and targeted renovations that improve existing buildings. From classrooms and libraries to sports complexes and performing arts spaces, TLM creates educational environments that support student success while ensuring long-term durability and operational efficiency.
New Schools & Campus Planning
New school construction requires careful planning to support both current enrollment and future growth. TLM designs campuses that organize classrooms, shared spaces, and circulation to improve student movement and learning opportunities.
Projects such as Liberty Technology Magnet High School demonstrate how thoughtful planning can create flexible academic environments. The design uses central circulation nodes that minimize travel distances between classes and allow the building to expand over time as additional wings are added.
Our approach ensures that new campuses remain adaptable while supporting the academic, social, and community functions schools provide.

Athletic & Sports Facilities
Athletics play an important role in student development and community engagement. TLM designs sports facilities that support competitive programs, physical education, and school spirit.
Projects such as the South Gibson High School Sports Complex and the Middleton High School Gymnasium provide spaces for athletics, school events, and community gatherings. Our designs consider circulation, spectator seating, locker rooms, and equipment storage while creating facilities that can serve both students and the surrounding community.
These projects demonstrate how well-designed athletic facilities can become important gathering places for schools and their communities.

Student Learning Spaces
Modern schools require spaces that support collaboration, research, and technology integration. TLM designs libraries and learning environments that encourage student engagement while providing flexible spaces for individual study, group work, and instructional activities.
The University School of Jackson Library project reflects this approach by creating a welcoming academic environment that supports both traditional learning and evolving educational technologies.
These spaces help foster curiosity, creativity, and academic growth.

School Renovations & Facility Improvements
Renovations allow school districts to extend the life of existing facilities while improving functionality and student experience. TLM provides renovation services that modernize learning environments, enhance building performance, and improve safety.
The Early College High renovation transformed a former vocational facility into modern student spaces including a new lobby, cafeteria, wellness area, and collaborative student spaces. The project also included upgrades such as new windows, improved lighting, and updated interior finishes that created a more welcoming and functional learning environment.
Our renovation work also includes building envelope improvements such as door and window replacements, which enhance security, energy efficiency, and comfort for students and staff.
